Medicare Made Simple - Compare, Learn, and Choose Confidently

Original Medicare, Medicare Supplements, Medicare Advantage, and More.

**Medicare’s Annual Enrollment Period is October 15 – December 7, 2026!**

Have you completed your annual review for the year?

Each year, Medicare health plans and Part D prescription drug plans can change their premiums, deductibles, cost-sharing and benefits, or even discontinue coverage altogether. Medicare’s Annual Enrollment Period gives you the opportunity to make changes to your health and prescription drug plans for coverage beginning January 1, 2027.

Even if you like your current plan, it’s important to compare your current coverage to all your choices for 2027 to make sure you still have the best coverage for your situation.

Services We Cover:

Medicare Advantage (Part C)

Medicare Supplements (Medigap)

Part D (Prescriptions)

Dental, Vision, & Hearing

What is Original Medicare? (Part A and Part B)

Original Medicare is the traditional Medicare program provided by the U.S. government. It includes Part A and Part B and helps cover many basic healthcare services.

  • Part A (Hospital Insurance): Covers inpatient hospital care, skilled nursing facility care, hospice, and some home health services.

  • Part B (Medical Insurance): Covers doctor visits, outpatient care, preventive services, medical supplies, and some home health care.

With Original Medicare, you can visit any doctor or hospital that accepts Medicare, and you usually pay a portion of the costs through deductibles and coinsurance.

What is Original Medicare Advantage?

Medicare Advantage (Part C) is a Medicare plan offered by private insurance companies. It combines Part A and Part B into one plan and often includes extra benefits like prescription drugs, dental, vision, and hearing.

These plans usually have networks, copays, and an annual out-of-pocket limit.

What is a Medicare Supplement?

A Medicare Supplement (Medigap) is extra insurance that helps pay for the out-of-pocket costs Original Medicare doesn’t cover, like deductibles and coinsurance.

It works with Original Medicare and lets you see any doctor who accepts Medicare.

What is Medicare Part D?

Medicare Part D is prescription drug coverage that helps pay for the cost of medications.

It’s offered by private insurance companies and can be added to Original Medicare or included in some Medicare Advantage plans.

Medicare Enrollment Periods

Understanding your Medicare enrollment period is key to ensuring you get the coverage you need without penalties. Here’s a quick overview:

Initial Enrollment Period (IEP):

If you’re turning 65 or newly eligible for Medicare, this is the first time you can enroll. It starts 3 months before your birthday month, includes your birthday month, and ends 3 months after.

General Enrollment Period (GEP):

If you missed your IEP, you can enroll between January 1 – March 31 each year, with coverage starting July 1.

Annual Enrollment Period (AEP):

Occurs October 15 – December 7 every year. During this time, you can join, switch, or drop Medicare Advantage (Part C) or Prescription Drug Plans (Part D).

Special Enrollment Periods (SEP):

If you experience certain life events like losing employer coverage or moving, you may qualify for a special window to enroll or make changes outside the standard periods.
